Welcome to this beautiful piece of earth on the east coast of Indian sub continent often known as the “jewel of the east coast” in Andhra Pradesh state – city of destiny. Part of the city is known by its colonial British name, Waltair; during the colonial era, the city’s hub was the Waltair railway station and the surrounding part of the city is still called Waltair. It’s very modern name as Visakhapatnam or Vizag. Each day sun kisses this land and crafted it a perfect holiday destination for nature & beach lovers. With Bay of Bengal on the east and rest three sides with beautiful hilly terrain. This city made its journey from a small fishing hamlet to a modern city chosen as first phase smart city to be developed yet, its also district headquarters of Visakha district, and headquarters for eastern naval command, educational hub, with lot of industries turned to an Industrial hud like steel plant, NTPC thermal power plant, and SEZ’s i.e. pharma, heavy engineering industries surrounded, with a world class ship building unit, well connected with rest of the world and Indian subcontinent by rail, road, international airport & a world class port all this add up to make it a investor friendly destination. It occupies 681.96 km2 (263.31 sq mi). Hindu texts state that during the fifth century BC, the Visakhapatnam region was part of Kalinga territory, which extended to the Godavari River. Relics found in the area also prove the existence of a Buddhist empire in the region. Kalinga later lost the territory to King Ashoka in the bloodiest battle of its time, which prompted Ashoka to embrace Buddhism. Visakhapatnam is surrounded by ancient Buddhist sites, most of which have been excavated recently and illustrate the legacy of Buddhism in the region. 
The Sun, Sand and Sea, Spread on a 1000 km coastline and 8 districts Andhra Pradesh has some of the Attractive beaches in India.  Sans the noise and crowd most of the beaches here are quite, calm and peaceful. Vizag the city of destiny is a great tourism spot for tourists to enjoy. Be it relaxation or a weekend outing.
